Last week was full of special celebrations as we recognised the mothers and mother figures in our lives. From the P&F Mother's Day Stall, classroom visits, breakfasts and gifting of roses, it was wonderful to continue with these special traditions.
On Friday morning, we were privileged to welcome Anna Jackson, CEO of Unitywater as our guest speaker at our Secondary Mother & Daughter Breakfast. Anna shared her insightful journey in leadership, resilience and staying true to your values. Her words resonated deeply and left us feeling uplifted and empowered.
Meanwhile, on the sporting field, our inaugural Principal’s Cup was a showcase of passion, determination and Grammar Grit! We were honoured to welcome our new Rugby Academy Ambassador, Gordon Bray AM, the legendary “Voice of Rugby.” His expert commentary during the First XV clash against Brisbane Boys’ College (BBC) added prestige and excitement to the occasion. While the scoreboard read BBC 34 - 12 Grammar, our team played with passion and pride, making our Grammar community proud.
A touching moment and a wonderful tradition of the day was the jersey presentation, where our First XV players gifted their mothers a rose.
If you would like to purchase a copy of Gordon Bray's latest book, 'The Immortals of Rugby Union', or make a donation to his chosen charity, visit Hearts in Rugby Union.
