GRAMMAR EARLY LEARNING CENTRE

ELC.png

We’ve had an amazing start to the year, and it’s been wonderful to see all the children settling beautifully into their new learning environments.

Our Nursery children have embraced their new learning journey with excitement. For many, this is their first experience in care, and they’ve done an incredible job building relationships with their educators and making new friends.

The Toddlers have enjoyed the “big yard”, eagerly exploring their surroundings and embracing new experiences with curiosity and enthusiasm!

Junior children have been diving into name recognition through interactive and engaging activities. During mat time, they played a fun matching game, pairing their locker tags with their written names on the board.

Kindy has been all about colour exploration! Through hands-on activities like paint mixing and marble painting, they discovered how colours blend to create new shades. Watercolour mixing was a huge hit, with lots of excitement over making green, orange, and even brown - one little artist even named their creation “Coca-Cola!”

We have a jam-packed schedule of activities across Grammar ELC this year!

Tennis (Kindy Group - Tuesdays)

Tennis is in full swing, and last week, the Kindy group had their first session with Coach Nick. Themed “At the Fire Station”, the class featured four different stations, each focusing on a new tennis skill. The energy was high, and the children loved every moment on the court!

Playball

Playball is back for another year, with sessions for different age groups:

  • Kindy One & Two - Mondays
  • Toddlers & Juniors - Thursdays
  • Kindy Three - Fridays

Last week, the children worked on fine motor skills, practising grip and grasp with hula hoops before honing their underarm throwing skills, tossing bean bags and balls into the net. They wrapped up the session in the Zen Zone, taking a few quiet moments to focus on breathing and mindfulness - a perfect way to wind down after all the action!

Chapel & Library (Kindy groups - Thursday)

Chapel and Library were a huge hit with the Kindy children! It was their first time walking down to the big school this week to visit our beautiful campus and, even more exciting, borrowing a book from the junior library.

Here’s to another fantastic week of learning, exploring, and growing together!
